Key Features & Innovations

  1. Advanced Zinc Coating Technology

    • Hot-Dip Galvanizing: Immersed in molten zinc (450°C) for a robust, uniform layer.
    • Pre-Galvanized Process: Electroplated zinc coating (40–80 g/m²) for lightweight applications.
    • 3PE/3PP Anti-Corrosion Coating: Optional epoxy, polyethylene, or polypropylene layers for extreme environments.
  2. Superior Mechanical Properties

    • Tensile Strength: 330–550 MPa (ASTM A53 Grade B).
    • Yield Strength: 210–415 MPa (Varies with material grade Q195/Q235/Q345).
    • Bending Strength: Withstands deformation up to 180° without cracking (EN 10219).
  3. Versatile Applications

    • Water Supply: Safe for potable water systems (can you use galvanized pipe for water? Yes, but monitor zinc degradation over time).
    • Structural Support: Ideal for old galvanized pipe replacement in construction, HVAC, and agricultural frameworks.
    • Industrial Use: Chemical transport, fire sprinklers, and offshore platforms.

Technical Details

Tensile & Bending Strength

Our galvanized pipes undergo rigorous testing to ensure compliance with global standards. The tensile strength (330–550 MPa) ensures resistance to internal pressure and external loads, while the bending strength allows for seamless integration into curved architectural designs. For old galvanized pipe systems, our products provide a 3x longer lifespan due to enhanced zinc adhesion and reduced flaking.

Identification & Marking

  • Standard Marking: Laser-etched labels include material grade (e.g., Q235), OD, WT, manufacturer code, and certification (ISO/CE).
  • Color Coding: Optional PVC coatings in red (gas), blue (water), or yellow (chemicals) for easy identification.

Weight Calculation Formula

Weight per meter (kg/m) = (OD – WT) × WT × 0.02466
Example: For a 50 mm OD pipe with 3 mm WT:
(50 – 3) × 3 × 0.02466 = 3.48 kg/m.

Why Does Stainless Steel Rust?

While stainless steel resists corrosion due to its chromium oxide layer (≥10.5% Cr), improper maintenance or exposure to chlorides (e.g., seawater) can cause pitting. Old galvanized pipe systems are more prone to rust due to zinc depletion, whereas our stainless steel alternatives (304/316L) offer superior longevity in harsh environments.

Welding & Fabrication

Can you weld galvanized pipe? Yes, but precautions are critical:

  1. Ventilation: Zinc fumes are toxic—use respirators and exhaust systems.
  2. Pre-Treatment: Grind off zinc coating near weld zones to avoid porosity.
  3. Post-Weld Care: Reapply zinc-rich paint to restore corrosion resistance.

Why Choose Our Stainless Steel Solutions?

  1. Unmatched Durability: Chromium-nickel alloys (304/316L) resist pitting, crevice corrosion, and extreme temperatures (-200°C to 900°C).
  2. Hygienic & Eco-Friendly: Non-reactive surface meets FDA/WHO standards for food, pharmaceuticals, and desalination plants.
  3. Customization: Tailored dimensions, coatings (3PE, FBE), and end finishes (threaded, grooved, bevelled).
  4. Certifications: ISO 9001, SGS, and Lloyd’s Register compliance ensure global reliability.
