Performance & Features

1. Tensile Strength

Our stainless steel steel plate delivers exceptional tensile strength, ensuring reliability in extreme conditions:

  • Grade 304: Achieves 515–700 MPa, ideal for construction and food processing equipment.
  • Grade 316L: Offers 520–670 MPa with added molybdenum for enhanced chloride resistance, perfect for marine and chemical industries.
  • Grade 630 (17-4PH): Post-heat treatment tensile strength reaches 1,100–1,300 MPa, suitable for aerospace and high-stress applications.
All grades comply with ASTM A240 and ISO 6892-1 standards, verified by Mill Test Reports (MTRs).

2. Bending Strength

Engineered for durability, our plates resist cracking under severe bending:

  • Cold-rolled sheets (≤6 mm) withstand 180° bends (per GB/T 232-2010).
  • Hot-rolled plates (>10 mm) require controlled radii to prevent stress concentration, ideal for structural frameworks.

3. Identification & Marking

Each plate is laser-etched with traceable identifiers:

  • Grade designation (e.g., SUS304, S31603).
  • Batch number, thickness, and compliance marks (e.g., ASTM, EN, JIS).
Optional custom markings for specialized applications like stainless steel sushi and dip plate designs.

4. Weight Calculation

Calculate plate weight using the formula:

Example: A 6 mm × 1.5 m × 3 m 304 plate weighs 214 kg.

5. Why Stainless Steel Can Rust?

While renowned for corrosion resistance, stainless steel plate grades may degrade under specific conditions:

  • Chloride Exposure: Saltwater or de-icing chemicals induce pitting corrosion, especially in 430-grade steel.
  • Mechanical Damage: Scratches or welding defects compromise the chromium oxide layer, accelerating oxidation.
  • Intergranular Corrosion: Poor heat treatment in grades like 304 reduces chromium carbide resistance, leading to weld decay.
Regular cleaning with pH-neutral detergents and avoiding abrasive tools preserves longevity.

Applications

  • Industrial: Chemical tanks, offshore platforms, turbine blades.
  • Food & Hospitality: Stainless steel sushi and dip plate production, commercial kitchen equipment.
  • Construction: Structural frameworks, architectural cladding, anti-slip flooring.
  • Transportation: Marine fittings, truck chassis, license plate frames.
